Something like this could have spelled the final nail in my biking coffin. If I decided to never bike again, I would be fully within my rights. What started as a suggested ride from a dude on the BRCC ended up being a crazy ride that will go down in history as the single hottest ride of my life. Started early, and by, early, it was already like 90. After about 50 miles of crazy heat, I clipped the original route and headed straight for the direct route. I stopped at every bodega and gas station to get a bag of ice to throw up on my neck to keep from fainting. It got me to Sarah’s mom’s pool where I literally jumped in the pool and cooled off. The best I got is a couple of cool pics of a sunflower patch I found early on. The rest of the time I was too concerned with life preservation to take pics : )
